I really like these L shapes scratching platforms. I’ve had a few of them this by far is the tallest and allows my cat to lay across it the other one she can only sit on this one she can actually lay down and curl up on so she really does like this. Now that we know my my kitty absolutely loves these scratching platforms.
Let’s see to put this together they were absolutely no instructions not like they’re really needed to be some but at first it would have been a little bit of help I did go on to the seller’s description of it and just kind of looked at it which was very easy but what I found hard was the screws that they give you are nylon screws which is fine however the tool that they give you doesn’t fit in the screw head very well and it strips it out when I noticed that’s what was going on I ended up having to go to my toolbox and get a regular screwdriver and finish the task of putting it together. For a minute I had to juggle a couple of pieces definitely lay everything out flat and have a good space to work with and one of the corners the top corners was damaged so it was kind of hard to put that end together perfectly but I made it work.
Something I like about the other clawing platforms is you can actually flip each piece around so you get twice as much usage out of it where this one because it holds the balls you really can’t flip it around at all so you just kind of get like a one use one time use out of it only the top side I guess you could flip it over but the balls will disappear at that point they give you a catnip ball and they also give you a rolling ball with a bow in it which is kind of nice but I don’t think my cat will ever use it they’ll smell the cat nip.
In any case I really do like this and it’s great for your cat to have something to sink it’s nails into however you decide to manicure them it’s good for them to stretch and all that sort of stuff so I do encourage this so it stays away from your furniture I have scratching posts and poles and the plateaus and the thistle I have all sorts of things all over just tucked away where they can see them and they make use of them so my furniture stays nicely I’m scratched.

My only significant gripe was that one piece was broken upon arrival: specifically, the holder for the upper scratching board. While this was disappointing, I was fortunately able to patch it up. It’s a minor quality control issue that the manufacturer might want to address, but it didn’t deem the product unusable for me.
Conclusion & Recommendation Overall, despite the minor hiccup with the broken piece and the need for assembly, I wholeheartedly recommend the L-Shaped Scratching Board. The biggest issue with this scratcher- it came with zero assembly instructions. None. Not even a picture on the box to refer to. I managed to piece it together after studying the item listing here, but it would have been significantly less frustrating with just a simple sheet of instructions.

That being said- my cats LOVE this scratcher. I stuck it along a wall that one of my cats in particular likes to stretch-scratch. Absolutely saving my wall from further damage. I didn’t even need to put catnip on it- there was a cat on it the minute I put it down.

My cats are enjoying this unique scratcher. It came with a little bit of catnip just to spark their interest. There are a couple of play balls in it, but my older cats don’t seem interested in them. I am using it now with the long scratcher on the ground, because my calico seems to love scratching, as well as napping on it! I took off 1 star because there were no instructions included and it took quite a while to figure out how to assemble it.

My cats absolutely love this scratcher. They have a number of others that they can sit on horizontally, but this is the only one they can go after vertically. They have a great time stretching upward and tearing into it. The only thing that wasn’t necessary was the grooves with the toy balls in them, because they will come out in short order due to normal use anyway. It’s good that this can be oriented in different directions depending on what your cat prefers. I would definitely get this item again or recommend it to another cat lover.
