Bought these for my foster kittens. Easy to assemble but feels cheap. The hanging toy got pulled off in one day.

I cannot tell you how much my cat loves this!! He jumped in even before I finished putting it together and he has barely moved. It’s been a few days and it is definitely his go-to spot. He’s a slightly larger cat and this fits him perfectly. It feels sturdy enough though I wasn’t sure it would when I saw the plastic tubes.

Overall this is a nice little cat bed–the whole assembly is pretty compact, so I wouldn’t buy it for the biggest cats. My cat is around 8.5lbs and she fits fine, but I’ve had cats twice her size and this would be too small for them–although cats always seem to find a way anyway, eh? I ran the cloth pieces through a gentle wash cycle before first use, and everything survived. While I wouldn’t try throwing this thing down the stairs, it seems rugged enough for use by our small furry friends, but us big humans definitely shouldn’t try to sit on it or use it as a ottoman. Bonus: They included two extra rods, so if you do throw it down the stairs you’ve got some spare parts, but overall I suggest: Don’t.
Three things of note:
1) It’s not super heavy so if you plan to put this on some type of hard flooring consider picking up some non-slip pads, especially if you have a larger kitty. The four feet on this bed are hard plastic with no texture to keep the bed from shifting around during your cat’s next mad minute romp.
2) This bed has two random Velcro strips on the top bit that literally do nothing, which should be pretty obvious in my photo. The attachment of the top cloth piece includes two stitched in loops for two of the crossbars, and two Velcro connected loops (which really weren’t necessary, IMHO it should have just been four stitched in loops like the base). It’s almost as if they were going to make all four sides Velcro but decided at the last minute not to, and didn’t know what to do with the extra Velcro strips. Not big deal to me because I put another cat bed on top to give my little purrball some options, but if you leave it as is and your cat likes to sit on top (which, they will), those Velcro strips will be fur magnets.
3) The ad says “corrugate cat scratcher”. Uh, no, there is no corrugate cat scratcher with this cat bed, unless you let your cat play with the box it shipped in.
Value wise, the bed is not cheap, but you get a cat bed and a frame so they have a reason to ask for a few bucks more than a standard cat bed. Despite the caveats I kind of like this bed, as does my cat, so if you’re interested put it on your wish list and snatch one up if/when it goes on sale.

This is a nice cat bed. I’ve owned several Kitty City and similar rod-and-connector modular style sets and am pretty familiar with them.
This is the first set I’ve had that includes an actual bed, which I really like. The fabric feels nicer than the nylon on the other sets I have and the bed itself feels thick and looks like it would be comfortable.
Our cat Cali was very interested the moment I got it out of the box, I was wondering if there may be catnip involved! She watched me put it together and as soon as it was ready she jumped right in! She played with the dangly moon for maybe 15 minutes or more and then settled in and took a nap. She’s a big cat, not overweight, but big, long and heavy, I was a little surprised that she fit, very comfortably and it has become one of her favorite places to curl up during the day.
Assembly is straightforward, but like all modular systems, it’s important to really push everything together firmly. Once I connect a rod and two connectors, I squeeze from each end to make sure it’s tight. Periodically I’ll check and re-seat the connections on my other sets and they’ve held up pretty well. Once assembled properly, this one feels solid, but like every other set I’ve ever had it did wobble some when Cali jumped on the top part, especially with a bigger cat, it did great!
One thing I really appreciate is that it’s compatible with other modular sets. I’ve used other sets with the same design, and it makes expanding or rearranging much easier. One of my older sets has slightly larger rods and doesn’t match, but this one seems to use the more standard size. The bed has Velcro on two sides on the top of the hammock I’m not sure what those are for, but they’re on my other sets too and I’ve never had anything that connects to them. Also, two of the “sleeves” that connect the hammock to the frame have Velcro. I’ve found this very helpful when connecting pieces to a larger set where you can’t really move the rods to slide them into the sleeve, instead you can just open the sleeve and then Velcro it around the rod.
The colors are a bit more neutral than I personally love, but it works perfectly in my husband’s office where Cali spends most of her day, so it worked out perfectly.
This is a thoughtfully designed cat bed that feels nicer than usual. It does seem a little more expensive than other similar beds, but I think the quality is a little better and Cali immediately loved it so it’s worth it for us.

This cat bed has a very modern look to it and literally took about 10 minutes to assemble. It does not require any tools. The bottom bed is very plush which my cat enjoys. She even enjoys the little toy, which I don’t have high expectations for it lasting long. The top portion has not been used.
I am really confused with this bed. The title says corrugated scratcher which it is not. No cardboard and no sisal to scratch. It is part of a modular set so expansion is possible with 2 extra poles included. Maybe other modules have a scratching feature. I wish there were end caps on top as there are for the bottom. Also there are two strips of Velcro on the top portion which has no purposed. I presume it’s to attach another one of their products? The bed is super lightweight and definitely more steady on carpet than on bare floors and can support two medium sized cats.
This cat bed is a bit costly ($39 at time of review) but okay if your cat will use it and if considering adding more components from Kitty City.

I already had 2 of the beds like this, only the brown ones. But when I bought this company’s kitty city 2.0 I ordered this grey one because it matched the city kit and obviously I’m going to spoil my new kittens. Plus I really liked how this one was plaid and not just solid colors. It really does work perfect with that kit and definitely has the approval of the kittens. The brown beds have held up for years with my previous cat, so I have the same expectations with this one.

I have the larger unit and wanted to expand with a new kitten
Easy to make, great looking, and very sturdy

My cat is usually pretty picky about where she lays her body, and we’ve purchased other cat beds and enclosures that she just didn’t have any interest in. Not so with this one because she loves it!
– Sturdiness: This is made by one of my favorite cat furniture makers, “Kitty City.” They make quality products that often connect to one another, and this bed can connect to a Kitty City scratch post/play area that I currently have for her. Once interconnected, their products are pretty tough, and your cat would have to be a large lion or a tiger to tear it down.
– Ease of Assembly: This Kitty City product was very easy to assemble. It came with very good instructions and honestly, I only used them to make sure I had all the parts! Speaking of which, they also included extra parts just incase you need them.
– Softness: The bed is very soft, and I believe that’s why my (our) kitty likes it. She uses it all of the time and my wife and I are extremely surprised considering how temperamental and selective she is.
– Value for Money: In my humble opinion, Kitty City products are priced appropriately for what you’re getting and that is proprietary cat products that are probably much more expensive from other companies. My advice is to catch them on sale and then pull the trigger.
Conclusion: This is an excellent cat bed made by a reputable company that makes great products for our “fur babies.” The box was labeled as “Holiday Sleeper”, but I believe it is for all occasions. It’s soft, sturdy, looks nice, and is ready for interconnection with other same brand products. The Kitty City Claw Indoor bed is much loved by our little kitty and she gives it 5 out of 5 stars!
