This past December my parents have taken in a senior cat (vet thinks about 10 years old). She is both deaf and blind so learning to map out their home has been a very disorienting and hard experience for her. I first offered them a different standard litter box that I had on hand but the walls were too tall and often she would often bump into it. However since she’s blind if her whiskers bumped into it she quickly turned away so she was constantly losing where the litter box was. This box makes things so much easier for her and is so worth! In their set up the cat is able to find both of the low entry points with ease and the walls are high enough elsewhere that when she kicks the litter around hoping she covered something she isn’t making a mess. Its study, feels like a good solid weight and is made of nice material. It’s never too early to get your aging cats a lower litter box. It makes their lives so much easier and yours as well by proxy. The cat in the picture is not the cat in this story, but my 13 pound baby who was there after I unboxed it. She wanted to keep it for herself to lounge in. She’s a bigger, longer cat so that can help you size compare.

So I thought this was a great idea! My cat however decided it was so low it was easy for her to get litter out of the box and just use the floor. ( I do have anything enclosed cat box in another room too) …this is after 3 days. I had left it just to see what she was going to do and she continued to just pull litter out so this is a big no. They get a few stars for design concept but for my cat…I’m going to have to stop using it.

This is a special purpose cat box so I am reviewing it for that application, rather than as a general use box.
We have three very senior cats that are beginning to have trouble moving around and, though they’ve been box trained since shortly after birth, they are sometimes either going next to the box because it’s just to difficult to get over the sides of the high sided boxes we have.
This box’s compromise of a low entrance and high sides otherwise work much better than or other boxes for those senior cats. Yes, more litter winds up outside the box, but they’re not as active when covering up as they used to be – and one no longer bothers at all. They never get enough outside the box that they or the younger cats use that strewn litter as a place to go. Of course, we have other boxes for the multiple cats we have and with this low entrance box being used preferentially by the older ones the younger cats are mostly using the high sided boxes.
I wish this box was available in stainless steel. Plastic boxes have a limited life span; they will get scratched up and begin to absorb material and harbor germ and have to be discarded. I’d pay the extra cost for a stainless version of this box.
For senior cats that would otherwise not use a box or go outside the box the utility and value for money for this special purpose cat box is outstanding. 5 Stars

We have a three legged kitty, who for the most part gets around great. She jumps, balances and runs fast. But when it comes to eating, drinking and using the litter box, she sometimes struggles, I guess because of the counter balance.
This litter box with the lower entry and lower sides helps her be able to get in and out easily, and rest a paw for balance, when she needs it. This is a great product, with great thought put into it.
It’s not too heavy, but heavy enough it doesn’t move around when it’s full of litter. The size is great, because of the wider area, there’s not as much litter escaping, and the color is a tan just like in the picture.
This product is a good value for the money, and a big help to one of our fur babies, which makes it priceless.

This is a specialty litter box, so I think it’s important to look at it for what it’s meant to do. By design, it is not a high-wall box.
We got this box for our kitten, Mia, to use during post-surgery recovery. We already have other low-entry litter boxes that were originally purchased for two of our senior kitties, and they worked great — easy entry and plenty of room for them to move around. What makes this box even better is that it feels a little sturdier, and the second opening makes placement so much easier. We keep one around a corner, and instead of having to go around to the front, they can just step right in. Bonus: I discovered that the lower opening on the short side works like a funnel when emptying the box, which made cleanup easier too.
It is a large box (dimensions listed), which gives cats plenty of room to move around without struggling. That’s really helpful for our seniors and is going to be great for our sweet Mia.
One thing that surprised me in a good way was the height of the sides. When I compared this to our older low-sided box, this one is actually higher on about two and a half sides, while part of the front opening is the same lower height as the older low-entry box.
It is more expensive than a basic litter pan, but for our older kitties and post-recovery, it’s been worth it for us — and even after her recovery, we’ll continue to use it. To start, we’ll be using lightweight paper litter, which scatters easily no matter what box you use. Once she’s able to go back to regular litter, I don’t anticipate any issues with litter flying out. We’ve never had problems with our other low-entry box, and this one is actually taller in some areas.
Also worth mentioning — before I could even get the label off and finish setting it up, our little Coco climbed in and started using it as a bed. 😂 She took to it right away and is even in the video, very interested in what was going on. She clearly loves this box.
This box is perfect for our needs. In the short term, it will help our baby Mia get in and out easily while giving her plenty of room to move around. Long term, we’ll place it where all of the cats can use it. It’s a sturdy box that feels like it will last a long time. We don’t anticipate issues with litter being kicked out, but I’ll update if anything changes.

Good quality litter box that is easy to clean. The box is large and has sides that vary in height and work well for kittens and seniors. I have both. The only drawback is that litter tends to get on the floor more with this box due to the low sides. However, that’s a trade off for the easy access. My only issue with this is the cost which I feel is high for this type of material.

My oldest is turning seventeen this year and has started having some troubles getting into the high sided litter boxes that her younger “siblings” use. I got her a low sided box that she could just step into but it’s easy for litter to get kicked over the sides so there’s a constant mess around it. Then I discovered this litter box that is the best of both worlds. Two of the sides and the corners are high to help keep the litter in while two sides are lower to allow her to easily walk in. The box is made of hard plastic that is very durable and the inside is roomy to allow her to move around easily. Granted she can still kick litter out at the low entry areas, but it’s still an improvement over a box that can have litter falling out on all sides. While I have been switching over to stainless steel litter boxes that are easier to keep clean and bacteria free, I feel this litter box is still a good value for the price if it helps my older girl be able to get in and out comfortably.

I have a 18 years old large (17lb) cat with very bad arthritis. He is also blind (poor kitty). He had a hard time getting in and out of our extra large litter box so I’m interested in this low side box. My old cat will miss the old box periodically because he can barely get into it (hence the puppy pad in front of the litter box). The pictures provide comparison between this low side to my old extra-large (gray) box. They are about similar size. I also have a smaller box (the blue one) which my large cat can barely fit in.
The problem with the new (lower side) one is the litter can get kicked out (see the last picture) hence the one star deduction. I guess it is a trade off between low entry vs. cleanliness.
Overall, the box is good for cat with arthritis. It is very easy for my cat to just walk in and out. I’m concerned with not able to fill with much litter. My large cat pees a lot and the dried up litter will often stick to the bottom. I think the box will get scratched after sometime.
I also do like entries on both sides so the box can be placed on the long or short side.

Our little buddy had to have surgery on his leg, he needed something he could easily walk into. This is perfect for this need, it hastwo entry points and is wide. He has had no issues using it with a cone around his head. The plastic is thick and is sturdy. Despite the low profile step into the box there has not been about of kitty litter being spilled out. Great value for the cost.

What a wonderful idea‼️ a litter box made for an older cat or arthritic cat ( which one of mine is both) or perhaps even a disabled cat who might struggle to get in and out as well.
This litter box was seemed larger than I initially thought it would be until I put it next to the current litter box and well it’s actually the same size.. plenty big. The plastic is very thick and sturdy, the height of the entrances/exits is 2 1/2 inches so I wouldn’t put more than 2 inch level of litter because it’d be all over. The back height is a bit over 5 inches so they can still dig and shift the litter how they want to to cover their mess.
I’ve been pricing litter boxes for a bit because I wanted a different one for my senior boy and this price for quality and functionality is good, plus it’s made in the USA.

We are a military family preparing to move from Virginia to California with our 15-year-old, 22-pound cat. We purchased a cat show cage (47” x 20” x 23”) that fits perfectly in the back seat of our BMW X3, but finding a litter box that would fit the setup—and still be large enough for a big cat—was a real challenge. Most litter boxes are simply too small.
When I came across the KittyGoHere 2.0 litter box, I wasn’t sure it would fit with our setup. Once it arrived and I put everything together, it fit perfectly in our car—like the final piece of a puzzle.
I love the two-way entry, the low profile (it fits even when my seat is reclined), and how spacious it is for a large cat. This litter box solved a problem we had been stressing over.
We haven’t started our road trip yet (that will be in April), but I plan to come back and update this review after the move.

Historically I’ve had very few choices. I’ve used cardboard boxes (small, think cat food 3 oz size boxes), an old cooking sheet with a lip on it, and the boxes I’ve found previously were for kittens so they were tiny.
This works so well! What I love is it is a regular size. I can position it so our one cat can get in and the others (who all think they get any litterbox they want) won’t spill litter everywhere. And our cat who sometimes sticks his backside OUT of the box is not able to do it if I do a higher side where he tends to access it.
This is easy to clean, it is like most boxes. The litter we use doesn’t stick and the box is sturdy/very well made. There is definitely a need for this product! It’d work for kittens I think (despite the fact they think it’s play time in cat boxes) and could be used again for cats that are aging. While it would work as a “normal” box if you needed it to, I can see the potential for litter being kicked out.
I am so glad to have found it – the manufacturer must have cats because the need was there.

I have two senior cats. The older one has arthritis in her back legs and needs a set of stairs just to get onto my bed. Their old litter box had a regular height edge, and I could see her hesitating sometimes before stepping in.
This one has two entrances that are only a few inches high. Both cats figured it out immediately and started using it the same day I set it up. The older cat walks right in without any struggle now.
The size is about the same as what I had before. I prefer large litter boxes because my cats like having space to move around, and this gives them plenty of room to turn around and position themselves. Neither of them kicks litter out over the sides like they used to. The back wall is higher than the entrances, so even when they dig around, the litter stays inside. Yes, the entrances are low, so you can’t put a ton of litter in, but I only put an inch or two in anyway, so this works very well.
It’s made of thick plastic that feels sturdy. I’ve been using it for about six weeks and it still looks new. I rinse it out when I do a full litter change, and it wipes clean easily.
If you have senior cats or cats with any kind of mobility problem, this box removes one more thing they have to struggle with.

My cousin has an elderly cat and I knew it was only a matter of time before it was going to struggle to get in and out of the litter box. And when a cat isn’t happy with the litter setup, they will find somewhere else to go!!! Currently the cat is fine but why not transition now? So I decided to get this.
It is plastic molded, light weight yet sturdy and it provides not one but two low profile entrance/exit spots! That is a very smart design and dramatically improves the functionality!
I selected the large size since there is room for it in the current location. The grey color is accurate and I chose that because I knew it would hide dirt and stains better. The pan is smooth, with no rough or sharp edges, which makes it safer to handle and easy to use and easy to clean.
It measures 22.5L x 18.5W x 6.5H and I find this to be a good fit for a medium sized cat. The lowest opening entrance measures at 3 inches maximum height is perfect! Basically your cat can step right in without jumping or stressing joints.
Let’s talk about the cost and the value. What are you getting for your money? You’re getting a low profile litter box with two entrances that makes ‘going’ easier and less stressful or painful for an elderly cat or a pet that is injured or has just had surgery. The current price is $42. I think that’s a bit too high and the reason I only gave this 4 stars. It’s just molded plastic and I think $30 would be a fair deal. $35 at most. That’s just my opinion though.
