This large size dog crate cover is well made and fit our dog cage perfectly. The cover has velcroand numerous zippers which allow you to expose one side, two sides, three sides or all four sides thanks to the handy velcro straps that keep the rolled up parts in place when needed.
It is light enough and thin enough yet still completely waterproof which is a nice benefit. You can lower the flaps at night to keep your cat or dog while in the cage and simply open the top part of the cover to allow fresh air into the cage.

The construction of this crate cover is the highest quality: the fabric is extraordinarily heavy and is waterproofed on the inside, the seams are well-sewn, and there are lots of features for ease of use. All of the zippers work well. The fabric is completely light-blocking. All of the straps and buckles are well-attached and reinforced. This crate cover may survive well beyond the wire crate it’s covering.
The grey color is considerably darker than the grey shown in the description (see photos).
The top was a snug fit on top of my 36″ crate, but it fit with some tugging. I’m using this on a stationary crate which is maybe the best use for this. If you had to take this cover off-and-on (like if you were traveling to a dog show), you’d be struggling to get it on and off easily. It doesn’t easily slip on, it needs a bit of work.
There are zippers at each of the side seams which help immensely when putting the cover on. They can also be used to keep a side of the cover completely open if desired. In addition to the sides being separable, there are also zippered doors on each of the sides to access any crate doors. This is where I ran into the one issue with my crate: the crate cover’s door opening isn’t cut low enough to allow me to operate the door (see photo). So the one side where I plan to use the door (I have a multi-door crate) I have to leave the side flapped open, rather than use the door opening in the cover. This is not a problem for me, but I had hoped to use the door opening. I’m so impressed with the design of this crate cover that I’m not even going to downgrade my rating because of this.
There are plenty of buckles and clips (some of which I don’t even know what they’re for yet, hah) to make this cover highly configurable.
I am beyond impressed with the quality of this heavy duty crate cover – it should last forever and it’s well worth the price paid. Be sure to measure the important parts of your crate for fitment. Recommended.

The sides are easy to roll up and hold in place with clips. The top comes off to make it just a mesh top for air flow or sunshine exposure. The fit was good, but I do wish the holes were a bit bigger, as I had to not attach the front at all since the door would not open and close. That was a bit disappointing, but it won’t hurt anything, just looks awkward now. Definitely not uniform. My dog loves when I cover his cage for privacy and security, so this has definitely been a great addition for him. He loves spending time in his cage and does so even more now. I can still attach all his toys to the top without it interfering with the cover. Overall love, just wish the door holes had worked out better.

The detachable sunshade dog crate cover is excellent for providing shade, but it is advertised as an outdoor cover. I live in Nebraska, and we just had 6 inches of snow. This cover would not be adequate for minus – degree weather, or a lot of drifting snow. It does say ‘shade’ in the description, but I want to clarify that it may not protect your dog from extreme conditions. Many people believe dogs with heavy fur are hardy in all-weather but that is a misconception. However, it will protect from shade and light rain. The attractive gray cover arrived in a very compact bag, but once removed it is difficult to re-fold and store it back in the cover bag, which is unfortunate. I tried folding it back into the bag for storage using multiple techniques without success. The four sides roll up so your dog can enjoy fresh air, which will require using the zipped sides often. The zipper teeth came apart before I tried to unzip it, but re-zipped after re-zipping. It makes one wonder if the zippers will hold up. It was a little awkward to get the cover on the crate as it was stiff to work with due to being new and heavy material. Overall, the material used would prove a good windbreak from moderate wind and rain, but as a lifelong dog owner, I would use this item judiciously for temporary, intermittent shelter and not as a year-round option protection for my beloved pet.

Very sturdy good quality Fabric and it fits the kennel perfectly which is great because I have two cats coming out of anesthesia in a couple of days from a neuter so this is exactly what I needed and it came just in time for the appointment I want to leave them comfortably alone in a kennel in the dark so they can’t get overstimulated or Panic since they are also not my cats I am fostering them this is literally the perfect product for keeping your animal from being overstimulated with outside stimuli. It is a good thickness I don’t have to worry about accidentally tearing it or moving the kennel across the floor and ruining the bottom. I’m going to say it folds up pretty easily because it was folded pretty well in the container but honestly I put it on the kennel and never took it off and that’s how it’s going to stay. The doors or Windows or whatever you want to call them roll up really well and they don’t have issues falling down which I was concerned with so I’m very happy with that I don’t think they’re going to come down unless one of my cats really pulls on it super hard. And I do find that for this good of a quality kennel cover paying a little bit more is okay I did not expect it to fit or be this good. So it’s definitely good value for what you’re paying. 100% giving this five stars I am super super happy. Now I need to see if they sell one in a 42 inch size for the other 2 kennels.

I got this 36 inch dog crate cover for a friend who uses a wire crate for her dog both indoors and on the patio.
