Sadly it didn’t work for my cat, is taking me forever to make her eat and adding this powder is just worse, but I don’t think is the product is my cat that is sooo picky and I don’t understand why, she was a cat street 😕. The reason I’m giving 3 star is because I can’t return it… really good reviews I’m sad honestly. I was super excited getting this product

My cat’s been fighting with stomatitis and he had lost a lot of weight. I’d gotten this stuff out of desperation to try to get him to eat more and maybe gain some weight. I took it with me to the next vet appointment and showed the vet. He was reading the ingredients cuz he was looking for certain things. He approved it and said to keep giving it to him. So right now I’m adding it to his food cuz he’s now eating better after getting some treatment at the vet which he seems to be looking a little better so for now I’m going to say this is a good product. Of course it’s also easy to use which helps.

I have tried this ready cal powder on two kitty’s. First was a senior with cancer. She didn’t like it, wouldn’t eat it. It would have been a great help to slow her weight loss. But she refused to eat anything and didn’t last long after her diagnosis.
So,we adopted an 8 month old kitten from our local SPCA. Merle is a BIG boy! He looks like he is 8 years except in his face he is still very kittenish. He was a little lethargic and his fur was dry/dull. He was 8 lbs but looked skinny for his size. We tried multiple foods & lots of it but he was not gaining weight. I started sprinkling the Ready Cal powder on his food. HE LOVES IT! He cant get enough. He recognizes the tub at feeding time. He has gained two lbs and his fur is healthy & soft. He is very playful and has tons of energy now. This high calorie powder is easy to use ,smells good. It has lots of vitamins & minerals that his food must be lacking. He has zero issues with it. It might not work in every situation but this is a great product.

Beware, if your dog doesn’t like this product which my older dog took one sniff and walked away on many occasions, you can’t return it. That note was probably in the fine print which I didn’t see. I didn’t know whether it was the product or the food but my latest test proved my point with pizza crust, which my dog loves. He was gobbling up the small bites of just plain pizza crust and thought, “Gee, why not add some of this product for extra nutrition mixed in with a little olive oil as a topper, also something he loves?” He walked away on this attempt too after taking one sniff, which was the final blow for me that his nose is not liking it. My Vet when I said I was getting this product warned, “Well, it may just be Pixie Dust but it’s worth a try.” It might just be for fairies, but he didn’t want to even try it. I was really disappointed that I couldn’t get a little money back. It was a $30.00 dollar investment. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

I bought this Under the Weather Ready Cal Powder because my senior dog has been losing interest in his food and needs to put on some weight. On the positive side, he actually loves the chicken flavor. I mix it into his kibble, and it’s one of the few things that gets him to finish his entire bowl. It’s packed with essential vitamins and minerals, which gives me peace of mind knowing he’s getting extra nutrition.
However, I’m giving it 3 stars because the powder consistency is very fine and can be quite messy. If you aren’t careful when scooping, it gets everywhere, and it doesn’t always mix perfectly into dry food without adding a bit of water. Also, while it helps with his appetite, I haven’t seen a massive “energy boost” or significant weight gain yet after two weeks of use. It’s a solid supplement for picky eaters, but be prepared for a bit of cleanup!

I got this for a 7 month old kitten who seemed to lack interest in food and wasn’t at a healthy weight. I tried all kinds of food, treats, supplements, etc. but he just wasn’t interested. He was healthy, vet checked, and playful just skinny. I finally saw this and decided it was worth a try and amazingly, he LOVED it mixed with his canned food! Within a couple of days he was cleaning his dish after every meal and by the end of the month he was up to a good weight, his coat was getting shiny, and he just looked ‘brighter’. I’ve been adding some to the wet food of a couple young females and their coats are already looking so much better. I hadn’t thought they looked bad before but they look gorgeous now.

My cat refuses to eat now, sucks because I was hopeful but no matter what I do she will not eat it. Expensive, not worth the gamble.

I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with the results. My cat had been underweight and struggling to maintain a healthy weight, but since starting this supplement, I’ve noticed a steady, healthy increase in her weight. She seems more energetic, playful, and overall healthier.
The product itself is easy to use — it mixes well with food, and my cat doesn’t mind the taste at all. I appreciate that it’s formulated specifically for feline nutrition, so I feel confident giving it to her daily. The instructions are clear, and the recommended serving sizes make it simple to monitor progress without overfeeding.
Overall, this has been a game-changer for my cat. It’s helping her regain weight safely and steadily, and I feel good knowing I’m supporting her health in a manageable way. I highly recommend this to anyone whose cat needs a little help gaining weight or improving overall nutrition.

Our cat, Toby, has always had a hard time keeping weight on, even with both kibble and wet food. We started mixing this with his kibble and a little bit of his liquid treat, and slowly but surely he’s been putting on the weight he needs. He loves the taste, and we love finally seeing him look healthier and more comfortable. Highly recommended if you have a kitty who needs some extra calories!!

I used this product to help my cat recover from “eating the skunk smell off of himself” when he got skunked so made himself quite ill so I had to syringe feed him a few days. this mixes with the food. yes the cat recovered

This is a good supplement. I have a fussy 9 y/o who’s had pancreatitis for a couple of years. Her weight tends to drop too much because she isn’t really food focused. Sprinkling this supplement on her food gets her interested, and I know she’s getting her nutrition. Her weight is up and this is part of her success story!

My elderly dog really likes this flavor. I feel like it has boosted his appetite substantially, but it really hasn’t helped him gain any weight. I’m doing the recommended scoops a day and I haven’t really seen a significant weight gain at all, but it encourages him to eat so I guess it’s a win. He’s a 17-year-old pitbull.
