Had this rushed due to my cat having emergency surgery and because he does not do well with the traditional hard plastic e-collars from the vet. This collar is a perfect fit, true to size, easy to secure, but hard for the cat to get off (mine hasn’t tried yet, but he will!). He has to wear it for 10 days, and I’m confident it will remain comfortable for him. I chose this collar because it’s easy to adjust and clean, and allows him freedom of movement. He can eat from his bowl and lie down without discomfort. Overall great pick!
Edit to add: My boy successfully wore this collar for 2 weeks post-surgery til stitches came out and it prevented him from getting at his back leg while the incision healed. He was not able to remove the collar himself, but was still able to access his food and water. Easy to toss in the wash to clean because food dribbles happen. Definitely keeping it at 5*s!

This was the perfect cone/collar for my cat. Large enough to keep him from licking the surgery areas on his body, while also being flexible enough to be able to eat from his dish. Using my cat’s neck measurement for size, it was a perfect fit!

Excellent alternative to standard vet collar. More comfortable for kitty. She can eat, drink, move about more easily.

Cute but kitten was able to get it off very easily.

Not only is this collar cute, but it works perfectly. My cat has a wound that he would not stop licking. We’ve had to have it repaired by the vet twice. With this collar, he isn’t able to get to the wound; now it will have a chance to heal. I love that it can be worn two ways, too. Much better than the traditional plastic collar!

I had to get this collar for my cat that had a boo-boo on his head to prevent him from scratching. The vet recommended a soft collar versus a hard cone, so he can be more comfortable. Regardless of all his tricks and bumping against corners, it never came off – and he even tried to pull it off his neck with his back paws. It’s comfortable for him to use the kitty box and sleep with it. The design is very cute. High quality and washes easily. Highly recommend.

I got this collar for a cat I rescued who had to have surgery. Unfortunately she figured out how to wiggle out of it even though it was the right size. I probably needed to put it on a little tighter, but even with two of us putting it on her she still managed to slip out. It really is a beautiful collar, she is just a very smart cat. And to be fair, she was able to get out of two other collars in addition to this one, so she is a little escape artist.
What I really like about this collar is that it is soft and comfortable. She could eat easily with it on. It is roomy but not huge like some of the collars I have worked with. I would have gotten her a surgical suit because I usually prefer those, but her surgery was not a spay. She had a procedure to remove her tail, her back toe, and her front limb after she was in an accident. She hid under a car for warmth and when they started the engine the belt caught her and tore her up. I was contacted to rescue her.
Please everyone, check under your hood and around your tires before starting your car. Cats seek warmth and shelter in those spots and it can save a life. And please spay and neuter your cats. If you see unaltered cats in your area, reach out to rescues that do trap, neuter, vaccinate, return. Your local shelter may even loan you traps and show you how to use them. There are also tricks online to make trapping easier and more comfortable for the cat.
I stock up on things like this because I do rescue work. I keep recovery suits on hand and I keep collars like this too. I just wish this cone would have stayed on her.

Great collar, soft, like the Velcro, not too tight. Very secure

Purchased this cone for my kitten than needed staples due to an abscess formation from his neutering procedure. The cone worked fine for the first few days, but then I woke up one morning to see my kitten with NO COLLAR and 2 of his staples missing. Once I located the collar I found that the hook and loop fastener used to keep it closed was no longer “sticky” it would not securely close and just kept falling off. There was no apparent reason for this. It did not appear to be dirty or clogged with anything, it just would no longer stick to itself. Had to take hime back to the vet to have the wound glued, and just kept their plastic cone of shame on for the remainder of his healing. So disappointed in this product.

One of my cats wound up with ringworm and I purchased this to keep her from licking herself.
Size was spot on with what was listed. The velcro is great, really easy to clean (and clean completely. There were some food stains that came off with just soapy water and a few scrubs.
Also dries very fast if you just wring it out), looks so cute (I know my cat is miserable being coned but at least she looks like an adorable angry black hole), seems to be very comfortable (no rashes, wearing of fur, and easy for my cat to sleep in).
Vision gets limited with the collar turned outward and eating is difficult while turned outward as well, but it’s easy enough to flip the collar inward (even while the cat is still wearing it) and that solves those issues. Flipped inward, there’s enough room for my cat to get at her rear legs so I’ll only have it like that for eating normally.
This has held up SO well. I was worried that a cloth based cone would be shredded to pieces by now but it’s been a full month of use and there’s only medium wear and tear. I will probably have to throw this away after the ringworm treatment is over, but it’s been well worth the price.
5 stars because even though this was a “one time use” purchase for me, I’d gladly buy this again. Much better than I ever expected and makes the long ringworm treatment process not as horrible.

Had to order twice because medium was too large even though cat measured inside the range. Small worked decently but both small and large are extremely easy for cat to take off.
