For Kitty’s Kitten Rescue, this spray curbs scratching on strays and our personal cats. Easy to spray, it’s a quality solution—but the tiny bottle drains fast. Works great, though we’d prefer a bigger size for better value.

I ordered this for the purpose of keeping my neighbor’s free roaming cats off my doorstep and entryway. When I received it it seems that its purpose is supposed to be keeping the cats from scratching furniture. Whatever the case, I sprayed it on my doorstep and entryway. The cats did seem to gravitate away from the area. However they are skittish anyway and haven’t hung out on the porch since new neighbors moved in anyway.
One thing I noticed is that the product does not have a strong smell. It’s supposed to have peppermint but doesn’t have much of a smell at all. I also lightly tasted it and it didn’t seem to taste like much either. Not sure what is in this that would actually repel cats.

First of all, I should have looked at the product description better because I thought the bottle was bigger. It’s a very small bottle, and the product is not worth the high price for the amount you get. Second, it didn’t work for any of our cats (we have three). I sprayed it on an ottoman that the kits seem to think is a scratching post. While the scent was pleasant and mild to me, the cats were not deterred by the scent. I hope it will work for other cat families…it just didn’t work for us.

So far so good!! Our cat poops in my daughter’s bed (it’s behavioral because he’s just kind of a toot!) and since using this – he has not pooped on her bed! Fingers crossed! I’m not sure if this is a pro or a con, but the bottle is actually pretty small which makes it nice in case it does not work for you. You’re not wasting product, but it is small and I just keep this in my daughter‘s room and spray it every few days. I did not follow the instructions to the letter on the bottle, but I would do that if I was having a major problem! Just spray every few days and I do like that it is natural ingredients – because this is where my daughter sleeps.

I tried this spray on a chair my cat usually scratches, and applying it was quick and straightforward. The scent was mild enough for indoor use, which I appreciated, but my cat didn’t seem bothered by it and kept returning to the same spot. So, it does not work for my cat, not very effective and cost-effective. The durability is good. It just wasn’t a match for her habits.

Well, I had high hopes. The spray was easy to use and had a nice minty smell to it that I did not find offensive at all.
Unfortunately, neither did Little Miss Tortitude, aka Chaos Kitty. This product was not effective at all in preventing her from living la vida loca on my leather recliner.
I’m afraid I cannot recommend it.
