Description
- Heavy-Duty & Safe Metal:Thickened metal wire with strong welding keeps the divider from bending or wobbling. The black rust-resistant coating withstands chewing, scratching, and daily use, while rounded hooks and smooth edges replace sharp hardware to help protect your dog from cuts and snags.
- Adjustable Fit:Two mesh panels connect with four rods to create an adjustable width from 18.9″ to 38.2″. This flexible design lets you fine-tune the crate space as your dog grows, and fits most 42″-54″ wire dog crates to create a secure partitioned area.
- Better Potty Training:Dogs naturally avoid soiling the area where they sleep, but an oversized crate makes it easy for puppies to sleep on one side and toilet on the other. By blocking off extra space, this divider encourages cleaner habits, supports potty training, and helps your dog feel like they are resting in a cozy den instead of an overwhelming open cage.
- More Comfort, Less Cost:Instead of buying multiple crate sizes as your puppy grows, you can simply move the divider to expand their living area. Create a snug sleeping zone or separate rest and feeding areas for multi-pet households, keeping the crate cleaner, reducing messes, and saving money and floor space over time.
- Tool-Free Setup:Four included metal rods slide through the side loops for quick, tool-free installation and removal. No extra hardware or screws are required—just measure the inside of your crate, insert the divider, and you’re ready to go (dog crate not included).

The crate divider is well made. Looks just like the cage. Feels very sturdy.
It isn’t too difficult to install. However the section closest to the opening is not as “slide and done” as the other parts. Once installed, it’s a bit less stable. Kittens will be fine. Not sure about a sturdier pet. (I have this the benefit of the doubt but will update later)
I recommend for the right size cage.

Good divider for larger cages and blocking off smaller doorways to keep pets out. This does fit in my dog’s cage, but since she free roams the house. We used the instructions to tie the 2 panels together and use to block off the steps when we leave the house.
The panels are easy to assemble both in the cage and to double up for doorway dividers. Its sturdy and the paint so far hasn’t chipped. Its functional for cage or blocking exits/stairs.

I ordered these divider panels to replace the one that originally came with our large crate after not needing it divided for years. Recently though, we’ve been doggy sitting a puppy for a friend who travels a lot for work and doesn’t want to board the little guy every time they are away. I confess that I’m not upset that I couldn’t find the original divider as that was a total pain to install and remove. These expandable dividers are so much easier to work with and help give the puppy a cozy space to sleep and feel secure in a crate that would otherwise be big enough for 3 more of him.
The dividers are well made with clean, strong welds that will easily stand the test of time. I love the way the rods are used to connect the sections to each other and also to the crate, just like the sections of most dog fences. When not in use, the panels stack together for easy storage right on top of the crate. Considering the cost of a buying quality crates, especially for a growing dog, these dividers pay for themselves when you don’t have to buy a second or third size up. Truly making them a great value for the price.

Good quality and very sturdy fits my cages perfectly however it is a little difficult to put it in there which might just be an issue with how my cages are designed. Overall as somebody who does have to separate animals a lot and does not own enough cages I would buy this again and I probably should buy more kennels and more of these because it’s a great product.

The wires are cheap and flimsy—they twist and bend if you so much as touch them too hard. The outer coating is peeling off right out of the package, and the size is totally off. To make it worse, when I tried installing it, it ended up warping my crate

The main reason I got these dividers is for another reason than to use in my dog crate. The problem is we haven’t used our crate for years now. However, I wanted to give a good review.
The concept is a simple one, but can take a bit of work. The difficulty for me may have been that our crate has a side door as well as on the end. Nevertheless, I was able to get it to work.
The instructions tells us to make sure the side rings, which are at a ninety degree angle, face inside the crate when you hook them on. Another way to understand it is to make sure the rings on one divider faces the front while the other one faces the back and in the end, go through the other divider when they are brought together. Once the rods were put through the rings, it works pretty good. It is obvious that it will fit only large crates. It will not fit a small or medium sized crate.
I pushed on the dividers and they did not give way. They are sturdy enough to stand up to dogs leaning on them. This is true for my crate since the dividers overlapped so much.
Now for a moment of confession. Since we don’t use our crate at this time, I actually ordered this to supplement our dog fence that we use for camping. It worked great as you can see in the picture (the last three). The rods go through the rings on the dividers and through the three rings on the dog fence. This is allowing us to expand the fence around our trailer when we are camping.
