I’ve gone through several different cat water fountains that didn’t last too long, or just didn’t have a good filter.
This one seems to be a keeper. It came with 3 filters, which I’m supposed to change every 6 weeks. My previous water fountains had very iffy filters that had to be changed every 2 weeks.
In addition to the filter, this water fountain has two small “foam filters” which are really meant to just prevent solid debris from getting into the filter. Those still have to be changed every 2 weeks, although they are cheap enough I might replace them once a week when I change the water.
My unit came with two trays. One made of plastic matching the base, and another made of stainless steel. I was scratching my head until i realized I had to choose one or the other. I went with the stainless steel tray.
The water flow is good, powered by a USB cable like my pervious water fountains.
The container is large enough for a cat to last a week and still have extra. However, I always wash/replace the water once a week keep my cat happy.
NOTE: My box came without the sponge filters. Luckily I already had those filters (shown). I am sure the vendor would have resolved it in a jiffy. These filters are available on amazon in package of 6 from the vendor.
UPDATE: My wife reports that “it makes a noise”. As far as I can tell, she hears the motor that runs the water through the very strong filter. To me it sounds like I guess an aquarium would sound. But my wife can hear a mosquito making a ruckus out in the patio. So. If silence is golden to you, you may want to reconsider. But I could only hear it by putting my ear right next to it. I did not consider this enough to take off a star.

I really like the idea of having a really good filtered fountain, especially having multiple pets (2 cats and 1 dog) so I ordered this fountain. The pros of this item: It is a small unit that won’t take up much space, there are 2 trays included (1 stainless steel and 1 plastic), it comes with 3 ultra filtration filters, and a set of sponge filters, and it is very quiet. I also like that it can be powered with a USB cable. Furthermore, because the water tank is separate you do not have to clean the water pump.
The cons: The instructions were not very clear regarding set up. There was a QR code on the box, but it took you to a YouTube video that described how to reset the red light. It would have been much more helpful to also have a QR code to demonstrate how to set up the fountain, especially since it came with both a Stainless steel tray and a Plastic tray. I was a little confused because I thought this plastic tray was supposed to go underneath the stainless steel tray but it did not fit. Only after reading the directions numerous times and looking at the photos on the box, did I realize the trays were not to be used together, but were 2 separate options. Although this seemed like a nice bonus, the reason I was confused was because my vet has always said to try and avoid using plastic bowls for my pets because they breed bacteria, subsequently recommending I only use stainless steel. As such, I just presumed that the maker of a triple filtered water fountain would also have realized having a plastic tray was not an ideal offering. The other major issue I have with this fountain is that although they give you 3 of the ultra filters, they only give you 1 round sponge and 1 rectangular sponge filter. It would have been nice if they had provided more than 1 of each sponge, or if the instruction manual or the box listed the additional filters that could be purchased. I wanted to buy more sponges right away so I did not have to deal with not having clean sponges since the instructions did not say how long they could be used safely. I had to go to the Furbulous website and there it said this fountain was currently “unavailable.” I was a little nervous that this model was discontinued, however, on the Amazon site the fountain is still available. I finally found the sponges and filters that fit this model. I am hopeful that after spending an additional $30 for more filters and sponges that this unit will last as it was not cheap.

Moving from a standard water bowl to the Furbulous Automatic Water Dispenser has been a significant change for my household. While it’s certainly more of an investment than a simple bowl, the time saved and the quality of the water make it a great value in the long run.
The “Learning Curve”
If you have a hesitant pet, don’t be discouraged! It took my dog a little bit of time to figure out how to use it, but once she did, she absolutely loved it. The flow is consistent and once they realize it’s a constant source of fresh water, they settle right in.
Time-Saving & Convenience
The biggest “pro” for me as an owner is the maintenance.
Less Refilling: With a 3.3L capacity, I’m refilling the bowl much less often than before.
Less Washing: Because of the ultrafiltration and the constant movement, the water stays “fresh” longer, meaning I don’t have to scrub out a slimy bowl every single day.
Quality Build & Value
316 Stainless Steel: I really appreciate the use of high-grade stainless steel. It feels much cleaner than plastic and is far more durable.
Filter Bonus: This kit comes with 3 filters, which adds a lot of value right out of the box. You won’t have to worry about buying replacements for a while.
The Price Point: Is it more expensive than a regular bowl? Yes. But compared to other high-tech fountains on the market, the build quality and the “True Clean” tech make this a much better value than its competitors.
Final Verdict:
This is a robust, well-engineered fountain that actually makes life easier for the owner while providing cleaner water for the pet. It looks sleek in black and feels like it’s built to last. If you’re tired of the constant “fill and scrub” cycle of a standard bowl, this is a fantastic upgrade.
