My cats love this !!!!
I ordered this product as I am a multi cat home, that said we go through a lot of cat scratching pads, to try to save my furniture.
This is amazing and I can’t say enough about it.
So easy to put together, it does come with instructions whcih are easy to understand.
The product itself is very well made, and very thick, it is very sturdy.
The little ball that is supposed to go in the middle of the pad, was off very quickly. Though I didn’t mind as the cats had so much fun getting it off.
The are three separate scratch pads that attaches to the product, which is wonderful, as if one part becomes shredded I can replace that part without having to throw the whole thing away.
It also allows numerous cats to play with it at one time.
The wooden sides and the screws that hold the sides in place are very thick and easy to set up.
The scratch pad itself does stand up nicely by itself, and not flimsy.
It was great to watch, some cats on the one side and some on the other at the same time, and one that is actually asleep on the bottom one. They all loved this scratch pad.
This is a wonderful product, it will last a very long time and I am buying another one, for the special needs cats as well.

This review is for the Happy & Polly Cat Scratching Board, which sold for $19.99 at the time I ordered it—a price comparable to other similar products. Assembly was very easy, though like a puzzle, it matters how each piece is matched up. Once assembled, the scratcher feels strong and sturdy, with a good number of large plastic screws on each side to hold it together.
This corrugated cardboard-style scratcher is very different from the carpeted or sisal hemp versions my cat is used to. Unfortunately, so far he has shown no interest in using this cardboard scratcher. He did, however, play with the ball that fits into the groove at the base, so there is at least some engagement, and I’m hoping he may eventually warm up to the scratcher itself.
I did wonder whether corrugated cardboard simply isn’t appealing to cats, but I’ve read reviews from other buyers whose cats use this type of scratcher enthusiastically. That tells me this is a matter of feline preference than a flaw in the product itself.
Even though my cat hasn’t taken to it yet, the design and construction are solid and it was easy to assemble. Based on that, I’m comfortable giving it five stars, recognizing that individual cats may respond differently to this style of scratcher. Until (and unless) my cat uses it reguarly, I can’t assess how well it will hold up over time. But based on its construction, it feels surprisingly solid for corrugated cardboard.

Me and my cats are huge fans of this scratching post. Love that it allows all of the benefits of a vertical scratcher without having to mount it to a wall/surface. The “floor” portion is big enough that it’s functional for scratching, provides full surface area for sitting or sprawling, and keeps the scratcher from tipping over. Assembly was a bit fiddly as you’re essentially fastening big plastic screws to cardboard using an included washer (which is pretty awkward to use compared to a proper screwdriver). I did run into an issue where one of my cats couldn’t wait until it was fully assembled to try using it; I would recommend putting it together in a closed room so you don’t run into similar issues! Overall this is a great scratching post, appropriately tall for allowing cats to stretch out on it. I’ve even caught my cats that don’t normally go for cardboard stretching out to scratch this! I’d say it’s a really great choice for protecting the sides of couches or recliners.

Whether your cat likes to scratch horizontally or vertically, this scratcher is for him/her. In fact, even if your cat doesn’t like to scratch cardboard scratchers, there is a chance he will be entertained by the jingle ball that moves side to side in the crevice of this L shaped scratcher. It can be used as a standalone scratcher or leaned against a wall which my cats prefer. Leaning against something heavy, the scratcher will be more stable especially if you have bigger cats.
Assembly took about ten minutes with one break due to being distracted but it was painless and straightforward. The instructions provide clear visuals to ensure the three scratcher pieces connect correctly. The wooden veneer not only holds the scratcher segments together but makes for an aesthetically pleasing and contemporary piece of cat “furniture”.
I put this scratcher together in the evening and by the next morning, I noticed scratch marks on both the horizontal and vertical scratchers. Evidentially, my nocturnal cats had a field day on it. The value for the money is excellent considering how much my cats use the scratchers and how they accommodate all kinds of cats. When the cardboard scratchers wear out, each scratcher component can be flipped in very little time. This scratcher makes my cats so happy and keeps them from eyeballing and scratching my furniture.

My cat has a tendency to scratch the sides of my couch, so I wanted to find a cat scratch post to draw her attention away from the furniture. This cardboard scratcher offers substantial height with thick, durable cardboard pieces. In my experience, cardboard scratchers can be flimsy and tear easily, and while there were visible shreds of cardboard after she used it the first time, the piece was still in good condition and looks like it will hold up for many uses in the future. I appreciate that the post has three separate areas, offering a scratching surface on the base while also providing an elevated surface. The included ball was a nice addition, and she loved it enough that I did not install it into the post because she preferred to play with it on the ground. But it is nice to have the option to install the ball within the scratching post itself.
My main issue with this scratch board is the assembly. It comes with three separate cardboard pieces, four thin side panels, and several large, plastic screws. The screws were quite difficult to fasten into the cardboard using the provided tool. While the description states that the post comes with the necessary tools, there is no screwdriver, only a single circular disk, roughly the size of a $1 coin. Since there was no other use for this piece, I assumed it was meant for installing the screws. The cardboard does not have pre-drilled holes on the sides. As such, you must use the shape of the screws to cut into the cardboard to install them. Using the included disk, the process was not only slow and tedious, but it was highly ineffective, as there was not much room to grip the circular piece. I stopped halfway through assembly due to wrist and finger pain simply from installing six screws. In the end, I used a screwdriver to finish setting up the scratch post, which was faster and easier on my joints.
Overall, this large scratch post feels durable and has a unique shape that provides ample space for my cat to scratch. However, assembly was very frustrating using the included tool.
