This product does not work, my car still has diarrhea after giving it to him as prescribed. Not recommended. Also not able to get a refund for this.

This absolutely works great for my kittens that had runny stools. They have already been treated for parasites twice, but still had runny stools. The vet reccomend a probiotic and I chose this one. Just wish it was a bigger bottle because I have 4 kittens that need a teaspoon each.

It works great and does what it’s supposed to but unfortunately I ended up having to call Amazon customer service because the back of the bottle is mislabeled with dosage.
Something seemed off to me for the dosage and my cat’s weight so I decided to check it with a vet and the dosage on the back of the bottle was wrong

Works wonders for our kitty. He has a sensitive gut. Works very fast.

Update: The last order was thin as water, where as the previous orders were thick. Also, it is not working. We have to find the same product, or an alternative, locally. Hopefully it will work.
First Review: We have one cat who has irritable bowel syndrome. I thought we would have to put her down, it was so bad. We were feeding her Taste of the Wild Cat food.
The vet put her on expensive prescription cat food, which she happily ate. For two days, she threw up everytime she ate it. I found out Taste of the Wild had started making a limited ingredient cat food, Prey. Luckily we found a local supplier.
The vet had also had us start giving her liquid Vitamin supplement with B12, because IBS prevents her body from being able to absorb B12. The lack of B12 perpetuates the IBS. For her B12 supplement, we use Pet Tinic.
We luckily figured out, by trial and error, that this anti diarrhea product, mixed with her Pet Tinic B12, stopped her IBS pooping episode.
This whole adventure with our cat’s IBS started in 2013. Her name is Turbo. She was once destined to die young, at only 4 years old. She is now 12 and doing fine.
She went from having uncontrollable, extremely foul/sour smelling, bloody, completely liquid with a lot of mucus, poop eruptions…. our poor sweet girl… to being fine 99% of the time.
Once we figured out that using these two together (she can only get Pet Tinic once a day to avoid overdose) stopped her ibs episodes, we continued to give her both for a couple of weeks to help ensure her system had time to heal.
This anti diarrhea med can be used more than once a day. Follow the directions on all products used, and consult with your vet.
We decreased the amount we gave her daily. To make sure she didn’t slip back into an episode. We reached a point where we stopped having to give her this and Pet Tinic daily.
As of now, she sometimes has crazy energy after a poop. I think it is because she had pain with it. Typically, she tends to come tell me when she has pooped. By being very vocal and climbing on/around me, until I go look at it and scoop it. Lol
At the first sign of a soft poop, mucus, sour/foul smell… we give her this mixed with Pet Tinic with B12. When this happens, one time is usually sufficient. Sometimes we have to give them to her for a couple of days. Basically, until we know she has normal poop. But doing this keeps her from going into an uncontrollable episode, and we don’t have to confine her to the bathroom with a litter box, food, water and her fluffy blankee.
Life is good here now. No need for expensive food, probiotic pastes, etc.
Doses vary, depending on the size of your pet. Consult your vet.
I hope this helps someone. If you are faced with a horrible situation, like this, I feel your pain… and your pets. IBS is horribly painful, but when we feel unable to help our suffering pet, that is a pain all its own.
Wishing you the best🦋

To begin with, I’m not vet so just undertsand that the following is just a lay-person’s and lay-cat’s experience, also I think I bought this on ebay and not Amazon (i’ve never before reviewed a product on here not purchased on here but thought this could help someone and also wanted to big up a helpful product): I understand that this is not a remedy for every pet since causes can vary so widely and every system is different as well but for my cat, this product has definitely contributed to his well-being. My cat has a very sensitive stomach but I have managed to control his bouts of diarrhea and vomiting through adding a probiotic and dietary enzymes supplment to his premium, grain-free wet food. Occasionally however, he stil has these break-through bouts of the runs (usually after hunting and eatting a moth or fly, bless him). With my cat, it was nearly impossible to stop the runs without treating him with metronidazole in the past, which entailed an expensive and harowing [for him] visit to the vet and sometimes lots of always inconclusive tests (he’s been like this for seven years). Metronidazole can be incredibly effective but 1) cats absolutely loathe the taste and it was very upsetting for him and for me to have to subject him to the torture of the dosing. 2) I was sure that such frequent antibiotic treatment was bad for his longterm health since it kills healthy bacteria too and also possibly that he would develop a resistance to the treatment over time, rendering it ineffectual at some point.
I also remembered that at every vet visit when I took him in for the runs, the vet would say very vaguely that she gave him something to soothe and coat his stomach along with his first dose of the antibiotic. She never mentioned what that was and I’m now convinced she sort of didn’t want me to get wind of it. After reading whatever vet blogs and clinical trials I could, I started to suspect that what she was giving him was Kaolin (the med in this formula). I also reasoned that he always was relieved of the diarrhea right away, just after the vet visit, I always thought it was the metronidazole but perhaps it was the kaolin and that once his stomach was soothed and coated, there wouldn’t be so much kindling for further incident. In my cat’s case, thus far (and it’s been about seven months), this product has worked wonders in the rare instances when he’s afflicted. He’s had diarrhea just three times in all those months (it used to be about every two weeks before the probiotic and enzymes) and each time, I have given him the kaolin, and not only did it end the diarrhea immediately but it did so, and this is key, without my having to first feed him boiled chicken and then having to slowly introduce his cat food again, etc, with all the stress and setbacks of further episodes that would entail. I’ve dosed him with just under a teaspoon (as per the instructions) and then just kept him off any food for maybe five hours after dosing him and then reintroduced his dry food first (he won’t eat more than half a can of wet a day so he gets premium grain-free kibble as well) and the kaolin has worked each time. While it’s disgusting tasting obviously, it’s nowhere near as awful for him as the metronidazole, and anyway, I only have needed to dose him once as opposed to twice for at least seven days! I don’t recommend you use this product regulalry or anything without consulting a vet and NEVER give a cat Bismuth subsalicylate (pepto), the new Kaopectate has both Kaolin and Bismuth subsalicylate and is really very toxic for a cat from all I’ve read (but you probably know this is why you are considering this product which thankfully doesn’t include the Bismuth subsalicylate). Anyway, I’m really grateful for this treatment option. No promises though since this is only my cat’s experience on this. And good luck finding solutions that work!

My cats didn’t mind the taste of it but I couldn’t tell if it helped. Should go to vet though

So my cat was going crazy from diarrhea. Dr said they don’t make anything for cats to help. Well my coworkers daughter is a vet tech in Iowa and sad order this asap. It came same day …thanks Amazon! I squeeze the recommended amount into a Churu and she eats it up no more diarrhea.
