We just got a kitten who seemed to be struggling with hairballs. She greedily ate the hairball remedy in a tube exactly once. Then no more. Now, she greedily gobbles the Rocco & Roxie hairball “treats” with reckless abandon. She loves that she gets to have 6 treats (one for each pound of weight). For my part, I would prefer not to have to give her a treat for every pound of weight as that gets to be a lot of treats. (Hopefully, she never grows to 20 lbs!)
At this point, I am not certain how effective these are at controlling hairballs because I now believe my kitten’s “hairball” hacking was actually a respiratory infection (accompanied by sneezing too) that she acquired at the shelter. And, it is winter now, so she is shedding very little. We’ll be able to do a better test in the Spring/Summer. That being said, I think that a hairball remedy that my cat loves is way more effective than one she won’t eat!

So I got these treats awhile ago and was waiting to review until I gathered some information on their effectiveness. We have a ragdoll cat and with her hair being so long she tends to get hairballs. Which if you ever step on one in the middle of the night will prompt you to find something that helps with these. She does like the treats. I haven’t seen a significant reduction in hairballs but I would say there has been a slight reduction. Maybe it will improve over time. I’m not sure if its made to stop excess shedding or for hairballs not to form often. The ingredients make me think it’s to help them digest the hair. It’s a bit pricey for a treat but if the results continue to improve it’s something I would recommend.

Honestly love this product. The smell and packaging are really nice. My cat seems to enjoy the flavor and I’ve noticed he throws up less since using these treats. My cat loved the taste of these treats, but she started to vomit and she hardly ever does that. I stopped the treats and she stopped getting sick. Maybe it just doesn’t agree with her and they fine for other cats. Ya really have to try them.

the cats love these. I just drop a few on the floor after the morning feeding and they clean them all up quick. I see progress with the hairballs after just three weeks of use. The coughing and gagging is about 40% o0f what it was and the hairballs seem to come out smaller than before as well. Good value for the money and the cats are happy.

Rocco and Roxie Hairball Treatment is a new product for my cat but it seems to help with hairballs. One important thing is that she likes it!! She is a new rescue cat for us and she is suspicious of everything I give her, so many things, either medicines or treats, go untouched by her. But she looks forward to these “treats”.
