I handle a lot of kittens for the local animal shelter and coccidia is an ongoing concern for orphaned babies. I’ve absolutely loved having this on hand to be able to initiate treatment when the first signs appear. Early intervention is key for best outcomes, so having it already available is great. It’s a good sized bottle for no bigger than my patients are. I’m very happy with the results I’ve seen so far. Kittens definitely respond to the flavor a lot more favorably than they have to other products too. When minutes count, this stuff is a fantastic value to have in the medicine cabinet.

Every pet owner should have a bottle of this in their pets first aid kit. It’s very effective for clearing up diarrhea. They don’t mind the taste also. I find this brand to be a better quality then other brands I’ve used in the past. It’s also very affordable and a great value for your money

Using this in some terrier puppies that have had terrible diarrhea mess. So far they haven’t had any issues with this product and terrier obviously will eat anything.

I got a retired rescue chicken that was unfortunately sick with coccidia. I first treated her and my other existing hen with amprolium which was not effective so I tried this. It was very easy to mix it water and they readily drank it without having to add anything to disguise it. It was also only a 24 hr treatment as opposed to a week with the amprolium which is a big plus. I repeated the treatment in 5 days. The green diarrhea disappeared and luckily, my other hen didn’t seem to get the extremely contagious infection. They don’t lay anymore so withholding eggs was not an issue.

Easy to draw into a syringe for oral administration and appears to be authentic. I’m not a vet or chemist but I do have my own horses and pets. I don’t know enough to 100% confirm the compound’s authenticity, but a vet friend mentioned it looks like the same product available from Canada, since toltrazuril to my knowledge and theirs isn’t FDA-approved in the U.S. It’s hard to tell chemically if it is without the right equipment.
For anyone in the equine world wondering, Toltrazuril is a triazine-based antiprotozoal commonly used to treat Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM). It’s related to ponazuril (the ingredient in Marquis) and typically compounded for off-label use under a vet’s supervision. Side effects are usually mild, such as brief digestive upset. It’s hard to find a decent reasonably priced source for this in the US in part because I don’t think it’s FDA.
Note: Talk to your own Vet. Veterinary supervision is crucial: Since toltrazuril is used off-label, it is critical that it is administered under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian. They can determine the appropriate dosage, monitor for side effects, and ensure the treatment is correctly timed and/or needed.
Overall it seems to be real and a good deal at $24.49, talk to your vet before using.
