I really wanted to like this crate because the design and concept are great, but the execution just isn’t there for the price. It’s lightweight, easy to fold down, and convenient for travel or quick set‑ups, but the durability has been a big disappointment. After only a few uses, I started noticing fraying along the seams and the material looking worn in the high‑stress areas. It doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence if you have an active dog or plan to use it regularly, and I definitely wouldn’t trust it for unsupervised use.

The biggest issue for me, though, is the Velcro inserts. They don’t stay put very well, especially if the crate gets bumped or the dog shifts around. The inserts shift, peel up, and sometimes partially detach, which makes the whole interior feel unstable and cheap. Once they pick up fur and dust, they lose even more grip, so you’re constantly readjusting them instead of just being able to set the crate up and forget about it.

Overall, this crate is just “okay” for occasional, gentle use or as a temporary/travel option, but I wouldn’t recommend it as an everyday crate. If you need something sturdy and reliable with more secure fastenings than Velcro, I’d look for a more robust model.

The travel litter box was a bit more shallow than I was expecting and it did not have a solid base which is why I gave it a 4 star. I expected the front to be a bit higher so the cat could not toss out the litter in the front as well. The box is new so the sides did not sit flat on the base (velcro attachment) and I did have a bit of an issue trying to line up the side panels with the base due to the velcro sticking. I could not figure out how to put a plastic liner down and wrap it over the base, and then put on the sides, as the velcro section got covered by the plastic liner and then the sides could not attach. My concern was that overtime, if a plastic liner is not used, the travel box will smell like urine. You can put the liner inside the box and sides, but the cat pulls at the corners and you have to keep adjusting it after cat has visited the box. The other issue is that you need to carry the litter separate and will need to toss the cat litter before closing it back up, unless you are prepared to fold the sides down and place it on top of the litter and zip it all up. If I can find a plastic cat pan that will fit inside, then this would complete the travel box and make it easier to use as the pan can be washed out each time.

I am so impressed with this Travel Litter Box! I originally bought it for temporary use after adopting a two-year-old cat, and it has been the perfect solution while he gets settled into his own room. Despite being designed for travel, the high sides and collapsible baffle make it feel like a “real” litter box. My new cat took to it immediately with no issues, which made his transition into our home so much smoother and more comfortable.

The practicality of this box is where it really shines. The waterproof and scratch-proof material is incredibly durable, and I love how easy it is to simply wipe it down to keep everything fresh. While the price was fair, the convenience it offers—especially for road trips, hotel stays, or temporary setups like mine—is well worth it. It’s a sturdy, no-fuss litter pan that does exactly what it promises. Whether you’re traveling or just need a reliable backup, this is a great find!

I needed to travel and take my cat with me, so I ordered this litter box. During my trip, I had to travel by car and change locations multiple times. I installed it in the bathroom when staying in a hotel and in the car boot while traveling on the road. It is lightweight, easy to install, and very convenient. Its material makes it leak-proof, and my cat finds it quite easy to use. Overall, it was very helpful on my trip. I would recommend it to other pet parents as well.

Our 2 cats go with us on vacation, so I am on the hunt for a good travel litter box. We typically buy a cheap plastic one when we get where we are going and then just throw it away when we leave. I decided to give this one a try.
This would be a good solution for a kitten on-the-go for a few hours, but that is about it. It is way too small for an adult cat to move in. Most cats like to be able to turn around and with this having walls, it makes it even more closed up. It also does not hold enough litter for an adult cat to “bury”. It is easy to pop-up and easy to take down. They have made it where the base folds into a litter square, but the walls do not. So at the end, you have 2-pieces, plus the scoop, bowl & bags to keep up with. It should be made where the walls and accessories could be stored inside of the base. It comes with a small scoop….I do mean small. It also comes with a collapsible water/food bowl and a rolls of pee/poop bags.

So this is one of those really handy things you didn’t know you needed until you had it. I personally don’t love to travel with my cat, and I’m pretty sure the feeling is mutual. Anything that can make it remotely more tolerable is welcome, like this clever travelling litter box. Pictured here is my travelling companion doing the beta testing.
This is well designed since it folds up like a little suitcase and then you can easily get it set up with the privacy/litter containment shield. The material looks pretty durable and looks like it can stand up to the scratching. It’s waterproof, which is obviously great, and it’s very easy to clean out. It’s a good size so there’s plenty of room to get just the right spot, and plenty of room to cover that spot with digging.
They included a scoop, some poo bags, and a nice little collapsible water bowl. I think this is going be a very useful addition to our travels.

Amazing travel litter box, so much better than my previous ones!

Lets start with the design- its a simple but smart design. You get the standard travel litter box, but they also provide the wall you can install – great for those of us with cats who don’t exactly aim down when using the bathroom. The walls connect to the litter box via velcro, and while it’s a little tough to make it fit at first, it does feel sturdy and I am not worried about my cats causing it to collapse.

Second- actual usage is good! My cats took immediately to it. When setup, it smells no different than any other litter box. When you choose the travel with it closed – it doesn’t have a strong litterbox smell (make sure you clean the litterbox before zipping and traveling. I also didnt notice much leakage, when being used the bottom is lined with a fabric that prevents anything from leaking through the litter box. When traveling, I always leave some litter and I didnt notice any spilling except a small bit when I first picked it up- likely more due to litter getting into some unknown crevasses than actual leakage!

  8. Nya B

OK, so when I received it, I was trying to figure out why it was so heavy, so I do travel with my cat on a plane. I probably would not take this with me on a plane, but it is great for a local travel and we used it at my daughter’s house for Christmas and it worked out great, I did struggle at first putting the backing on and then I figured it out. One downside is that it’s kind of awkward to put a litter bag in there and I choose to use litter bags or liners because I don’t wanna have to clean the box every single time he goes other than that it’s very handy. I love the backing and kept her walls from getting anything on them.

  9. Singleton

I’m really unsure of the design on this. It seems like something that’s if you used it without some sort of liner will absorb urine because the edging is fabric and there’s velcro in the box itself. I’m not sure about other people’s cats but mine do not stand so they do their business directly in the middle of the box, they do it on the edges or corners. The way this is designed you’re putting the privacy part which is edged in fabric, directly into the the litter box and even if you don’t use that there is still velcro in the box itself. I’ll keep it just in case but would probably use it with a trash bag as a liner and try to shoo the cat out before they can scratch much. It is nice that it come with a scooper and collapsible bowl but I wouldn’t use the bowl for anything but kibble, it seems too flimsy for water.

I have been a cat owner for on and off for 20 years now. However, I have not heard of a travel litter box during that time. When I saw this, I could see so many use cases for this, so I pick this up.

The item came with litter box, privacy screen, litter scoop and water bowl.

The litter box expands out to nice size litter box and the privacy screen fits in nicely and covers 3 sides. Scoop is not the best, but it will work with in a pinch. The water bowl can be folded and expands as needed. The litter filled up half way of the litter box and when my cat tries to cover, she was able to get to the bottom of the litter box and her claw was able to scratch the bottom of the litter box. It did not rip, but scratch mark was visible and if she goes on to dig rigorously, I do see the danger of ripping the bottom. Oh, also, I would not carry the litter box with litter in the box, as it feels like with will not be able to carry the weight of the litter. This means that when you travel with the litter box, despite the litter box and accessories folders flat and stores in a small form factor, you also will have to heavy weight of the litter and dispose litters after each travel. This seems a bit of waste.

Overall, nice concept, but could use a bit of better execution.

  12. Rose ♥

This UNICITII travel litter box ended up being so much more than a “travel” item for us — it’s been an absolute lifesaver for my older kitty. She struggles getting to her regular box sometimes, and this gave us a simple, gentle solution without stressing her out or rearranging the entire house.

The high sides are perfect. They help contain messes while still being easy for her to step into, which is huge when mobility isn’t what it used to be. The material is sturdy but flexible, waterproof, and scratch-proof, so it holds up even when she’s having a rough day. It feels stable, not flimsy or collapsy under her weight.

I love how portable it is. Whether it’s set up closer to where she rests or used for car trips and vet visits, it folds and stores easily without feeling like a hassle. And the extras genuinely matter — the included small scooper is convenient, and the collapsible food bowl was a thoughtful bonus I didn’t even realize I’d appreciate until I had it.

What really stands out is how much more comfortable my cat seems using it. No hesitation, no confusion, no struggling. She just… goes. And for a senior cat, that’s everything.

This isn’t just a travel litter box — it’s a compassionate, practical solution for older cats or cats with mobility issues. Thoughtful design, genuinely useful extras, and a real improvement to daily life. Absolutely worth it.

This is a decent litter box for traveling with your cat. I love the full zipper that seals in the litter so you can transport it from one location to another without having to empty litter or worry about spills. There is even a handle to carry it vertically though I doubt I’d do that if it was full of litter. The high sides are a bonus to keep litter inside. Before I got this I was using a plastic wash basin as my travel litter box, but my cat kicked litter all over the hotel floor and I was constantly sweeping up after him. This is a much better solution.
I also really like that it folds up small for tucking away when not in use. I’m not sure how durable the plastic bottom is for constant use. Cats’ claws can penetrate just about anything and regular scratching will wear it down and tear, which is why I recommend people not use it as a full-time litter box. You need something more durable for long-term use.
The accessories included are much appreciated: a small scoop (holes are a bit large and smaller clumps of litter fall through), a handy collapsible bowl with a carabiner, and a role of poop bags.

All in all, I believe this is a good set for traveling with your floof and would recommend it.

“Travel Litter Box for Cats with High Side, Portable Kitty Litter Travel Box with Collapsible Baffle Waterproof Scratch-Proof Kitty Litter Pan for Car, Road Trip, Hotel” (Seller declared.)

    – A foldable zippered travel litterbox with shield wall. (Box has a zippered lid that you unzip and roll back with a strap to keep it rolled up behind the box.) (After securing the lid you place a separate shield wall inside the box. This shield wall is rigid and held in place with a wide band of Velcro.) (The box measures around 4.5″ x 14″ x 17″ when opened. When folded up it measures around 2″ x 5″ x 9″ (Empty.)) (The shield wall stands 13.5″ high and lines the inside of the box covering 2″ on each side of the front and wrapping around the entire sides and rear. For storage the shield wall folds up into a piece that measures around 2.5″ x 6.5″ x 13.5″.) (When unfolded, the litter box has two handles, with one on each end to carry and move the box around.)
    – Comes with some accessories. (One main accessory is a plastic scoop and the other is a foldable water dish.) (It also comes with a roll of plastic bags that are large enough to hold one scooped litter cleaning waste.)
    – Comes with instructions. (Instructions have pictures and adequate info on how to assemble and store your portable litter box.) (For some strange reason the back side of the info sheet has the same info printed in German. Canada has two official languages French and English. For products sold in Canada there is suppose to be French included, not German.)

The size of this litter box is ok for my smaller cat for limited time; however my larger cat felt somewhat constrained and quickly exited. For him I would need something larger. In fact I would need two larger ones, as my cats will not poop and pee in the same box. They also tend to want to move around a lot. They will share a box though; just not do the same thing in the same box. Normally at home they have two much larger litter boxes side by side and that’s how they use them.
The inside of the traveling litterbox is a washable smooth surface but the outside is like a cloth material. There is no tag to tell me what the materials are, nor instructions on how I should clean this thing. I would still need another container to carry the litter in, if I decided to fold it up as they say to. The zippers seem to be good enough to hold all the litter in, if I just zip up the lid and leave it unfolded. There’s even a handle to accommodate just carrying the litter like this. So the idea of having it to fold up so small is kind of pointless.
I do think that for small cats this traveling litter box would work just fine. The litter scoop has big slot’s in it, which is not good for getting the little bits out that I don’t like leaving in the litter when I clean up. Normally I use this type to get the big stuff and then use a screen type with a 2.5mm spacing for all the fine stuff. I find it essential to keep their litterbox cleaned well to keep my cats healthy.
There’s also a collapsible water dish which is handy to carry around. It has a nice hook so you could hook it onto your backpack. Using it would be fine so long as your cats don’t happen to put any pressure on the sides of it and cause it to collapse. They give a roll of litter waste bags which is a good idea; just scoop, tie and toss in the garbage. (At home we have litter recycling in with the food scraps; on the road you won’t have that.) It’s never a good idea to just through litter down the toilet if it’s the gravel type; it can clog the plumbing up really bad. All in all I give this product a 4/5 and wish there was a larger version with a fine screened scoop as well.

  16. Garvit

While the design of this may seem tempting and problem-solving, I cannot imagine using this product. It comes with all you (apparently) need to get your kitty to use the bathroom on the go. It assembles in a flash. My concern is the utter lack of hygiene with this product. It is lined in the same plastic as inexpensive lunch bags, which from my experience with forks and other cutlery, tears in no time flat. Imagine kitties’ claws doing their scratch work after using the toilet and how quickly the lining of this box will be torn to shreds. The only way to render this usable is to have a box inside the box, which means sourcing a small plastic tote or tiny litter box to place inside it. I don’t quite understand the “fence” that you put up when assembling this, to provide protection from them kicking litter all over the place? It’s very high, unreasonably so. I think the manufacturer could try some tweaks with this product to render it more reasonable/usable. I don’t see this as being easy to clean at all, especially with the inevitable tears in the plastic lining where cleaning product (and urine) will end up seeping into the outside fabric.

I bought this travel litter box for our 13-year-old cat, Digger, for long road trips, and it solves a lot of problems we used to have. Functionally, it does what it needs to do. It’s a good size for small to medium cats, fits nicely on the back floorboard, and the high enclosed sides really help keep litter off the carpet. The Velcro is strong, it folds and zips up for compact storage, and the carry handle makes it easy to move. It even came with a litter scoop and a collapsible bowl, which was a nice surprise.

The downsides: the bottom is quite thin, so I wouldn’t trust it with aggressive scratchers, and I wouldn’t rely on it to stay leak-free over time. Also, standard liners cover the Velcro that holds the sides up, which makes lining it awkward. The design is convenient, but it could be improved to better contain messes without losing the quick-fold feature. We’ll still use it for travel, but I’ll be figuring out a liner solution that won’t interfere with the Velcro.

At $24.99, it’s a reasonable value for a compact travel solution. Four stars from me because the thin base, potential for leaks, and liner limitation are meaningful drawbacks for longer use.

I can see this working for a younger kitten but not an older larger cat so this is a little on the smaller size. The sides hold on with Velcro via inside the box. I would say you may get one or two uses out of this as the folding sides would stain if sprayed on. It serves it’s function and should be easy to travel with. We have stayed in hotels a few times, especially during hurricane season when we have to leave. The capacity of this and quality is decent and may last for those brief short trips. I did try to fold this all back together and did not go back together as well as it was when first opened.
It also comes with a roll of litter bags, bowl, and small plastic litter sifter.

I’ve only had occasion to use this once so far, and for the foreseeable future, I think I’ll only need it one more time. I’m moving in a few months, so it will be handy then, just to be able to get a litterbox up and running in the new place for the cats before anything else is even there.

But the one time that this *has* been used, it was quite helpful. As part of the process of moving out of where I currently am, a building inspection was required, and they wanted no occupants – including pets – on the property during said inspection. I wasn’t particularly happy about that, but it’s what was required of me, and also, not super relevant. Regardless, during the inspection, it was just me, my sibling, and our two cats, twiddling our thumbs in a car. We ended up waiting about four hours before the inspection was done. And both cats needed to use the litter box at least once during that time.

This helped immensely during that because, aside from the obvious of having a litterbox available (we could’ve brought a smaller normal plastic one), and it being sized in such a way that it could fit in the leg room of the front passenger seat, while having walls that could be put up the prevent litter leaving the box. The main feature that was helpful for us was that it could be zipped back up and closed. Which meant that we didn’t have to sit in a car for several hours with the smell of a used litter box just a foot or two away.

The other included items with this were also well thought out, though they weren’t all overly needed for us. The collapsible bowl and litter scoop with a hole on them to be looped onto the carabiner that is small enough to loop through the zippers, for example. The litter liner bags WERE / ARE necessary, though, and I’m glad they were included. And if you have occasion to use this enough that you run out of liners, you should get some more. Because, despite claims on the product page that this is waterproof, it’s made of nylon, which is just water-RESISTANT, which means that eventually liquids (and their scents) WILL get absorbed. You REALLY don’t want that with a litter box. Use a liner.

And when it’s not in use – which for me, is most of the time – the fact that it can be flat-packed into a relatively small size is nice as well.

Anyways, like I said, I’ve only had occasion to use it once, but it was handy to have at that time, and it will be handy on moving day too. I’m glad I got this, even if it’s not going to be used often.

  26. Origamiman

Something you’ll have to get your cat to adopt at home before you use it on the go. Either because of the walls or the size, you don’t want to surprise your cat with something new on the go.

The walls are very nice to limit the amount of spillage.

The set comes with a plastic scoop. Even if it’s plastic, I would still be very careful not to damage the fabric.
Also comes with a nice collapsible bowl.

Although my cats don’t scratch the bottom or sides of their boxes (only dig around to bury their business), the fact that this one is made of fabric may have durability concerns. Might be a good idea to line it with some paper just as a friction guard, from bot the cat using it and the litter itself.

  27. Garvit

  28. T. Wehner

This is a travel litter box for cats. I am using this for my kitten. I think it’s more suitable for smaller cats. Adult cats probably can also use it. This is a decent sized litter box. It’s not too big, not too small and because it is a travel litter box, it’s sturdy, but still able to be folded up neatly and put back into the pouch. The floor of the litter box is not hard. It is soft so don’t think that it is going to provide a lot of support if you plan on moving it with litter in it.
This litter box is also very easy to assemble. You just put up the sides and connect it with the Velcro that is on it. Even though it’s only Velcro, that holds the sides up, it’s a very strong Velcro, and it does provide coverage when it comes to having a wall for privacy for your cat. It also comes with a bonus water bowl and a hand sifter. So you can clean the box

This is a pretty good little travel set!
Comes with a base (which also acts as the case when empty), collapsible walls with velco, scoop, a food/water bowl, AND garbage bags!
First thing that stood out to me as that velco is STRONG. HOLY MOLY! I was a little worried about the sturdiness of this, for a couple of reasons; the base doesn’t have any firm structure to it, so it’s not much better than one of those reusable plastic grocery bags. The bottom of this litter will definitely be prone to wrinkles, which could lead to litter, urine, and/or poop getting stuck under them, also the softness of it will already making scooping/cleaning difficult, but catching wrinkles and potentially damaging the base and making it useless is a possible problem.
Additionally, the walls fold up in a number of segments (I would have expect just 3 segments = 3 walls). Which granted, this does make it a bit easier to fit into the base, I would have prefered something more ridged to make a more defined frame. That being said, as I mentioned previously, the velco used to keep these walls up is some tough stuff. Even without putting litter into this, they stayed up firmly. Zero chance of falling in on themselves. I just wish that the base was either solid, or the walls ensured that the bottom would stretch out perfectly smooth.

Otherwise, this IS a great option if you’re planning on taking Kitty for a bit of a longer drive. Just take some care while cleaning.

A beautiful invention, just make sure you have a trash bag that you can use with it too. Si ce this comes in separated pieces, I find it easiest to place the bottom pan portion inside a 10 trash bag and then put kitty litter in it. The walls are velcroed on but with the plastic bag, it won’t stick obviously, just push them up into the corners and it’ll hold for as long as your cat does not scratch or lean on them. I say all of this, because even after cleaning it, it still holds the heavy scent of fat urine. That scent is impossible to get out, regardless of how many times you clean. Other than that, this is a genius idea. It makes taking your cat out for a road trip way more doable. Or if you are in between moving and dont wanna buy a whole setup again. This gives you the comfort of a full litter box setup but can be broken down in minutes and easy to stash. Price is super affordable so if it needs to be tossed, not real tears will be shed. Comes with scooper and travel bowl.
