The original pump lasted exactly 3 years (36 months), so I thought replacing it and being happy with the fountain for another three years was the smart thing to do. As several other reviews have said, the previous pump had a RGB light inside that by default cycled between those three colors unless you set it to off or solid. First thing I noticed was that this one has one color, blue. That was fine. I even liked it just being solid blue.
However, the old pump had burnout protection as it would stop pumping and flash a red light when the water level got too low. It was a great reminder, and probably contributed to that little pump lasting for so long. This pump just stays glowing blue even as it runs dry and happily pumps air. I really doubt it will survive if it ends up doing that for a few hours, which is very possible – even likely – to end up doing.
In conclusion: This pump is not nearly as good as the original that came with the fountain in 2021. But it does work, as the water is flowing and has been for the couple of weeks since I installed it in the fountain. Fingers crossed!
Edit: The seller reached out to me, so I will up my review score to four stars for their good customer service.
Edit 2: This pump lasted for 29 days before being rinsed out while the reservoir was washed and refilled, and then refusing to turn back on. This may or may not be indicative of the average quality of the pumps that Veken sources, but as of right now, these pumps seem to have quality problems.

I bought this to replace the pump that came with the Kactoily stainless steel cat fountain I previously bought on Amazon since after only 7 months of use the pump failed. I love the fountain so much I didn’t want to buy a new one…not too mention repeat the expense so soon after the purchas…so I decided to try pump replacement and am very happy that I did. This pump is both is both quieter and more powerful than the original and noticeably improved the fountain. The running pump absolutely noiseless to my ears (not the case with the original) and its extra power makes the fountain more interesting to the cats.
Other great features:
–The one I appreciate most is that the electrical cord is thicker than that of the original pump and is protected very well at the major stress point where it has to curve upward because the pump case extends a few millemeters beyond the point where the cord exits the pump body. This was the point of failure for the original pump.
–There’s a button switch on the cord so that the blue light can be turned off. I leave mine on all the time but I know from reading loads of reviews that many people may appreciate this feature.
–It’s sturdily constructed and very easy to clean. Note that I have to use a pair of tweezers to remove the impeller because it fits so well that it can’t just be shaken loose, something I appreciate.
–It easily handles 95oz of water.
–The suction cups are surprisingly strong for their size.
–Comes with a cleaning brush.
I know the pump description states that it can only be used with Veken fountains, but by minimally shortening the separate water stem extension tube from the Kactoily fountain, the pump works perfectly with it, has noticeably improved the fountain and saved me from having to buy a whole new fountain when the only problem was the pump.

I purchased Veken Innovation Award Winner Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain, 108oz/3.2L last November. It stopped working few days ago. So I took a chance to replace the pump with this DC200 for 50oz/95oz motor.
This motor fits my 108oz fountain and it’s working now.
I am glad Amazon sells replacement pump for Veken. On the other hand, I disappointed Veken’s “Award Winner” water fountain which last only 8 months. I wished they replace pump for free if stop working within one year. This Veken Stainless Steel seems more durable and high quality than other makers.

This is great! I needed a replacement pump because ours got some weird pink residue on it that wouldn’t come off. I’m glad to know I can get replacement pumps to keep the water fountain as clean as possible. It also comes with one pump filter which is an awesome bonus (happy surprise I wasn’t expecting). I’ll definitely be buying more of these in the future.

It had been a long time since we last used our water fountain for our cat, so I wasn’t surprised when we plugged it back in and the pump no longer worked. But the is one was an exact match for the previous one, and it was fully ready to go right out of the box since it included a filter. It works great, and our fountain is working perfectly again. My only complaint is that it came with the USB power cord, but no block to be able to plug it into an outlet.

This replacement pump has worked great for my pet fountain so far. Our cat’s fountain developed a weird purple slime on the filter so I threw anything plastic away and deep cleaned the stainless steel body. I replaced the filter with this filter (the newer version) and it has been working amazing! I don’t even notice any red deposits that we normally get from living in a heavy clay area. The filter is super clean and the water stays super clean as well. I’m very pleased so far. It’s very quiet and the same size as the previous filter. Works better than the original filter in my opinion.

Well, the old pump died after a couple years, so I bought this replacement, the cost wasn’t too bad, it’s as quiet as the old one, and it was easy to situate, just like the original. Maintenance is simple enough, popping out the out filters for new ones takes less than a minute, no tools needed.

Worked great but I lost the impeller when cleaning. Be careful. So I had to replace the entire pump. Just can’t buy the impeller. When I received it either there just wasn’t one or some dirty dog returned it taking out the impeller and returning as whole. I’m on a time crunch in getting the part. Very disappointing.
