I got this and while I haven’t used yet (I’m sure my doggo will need soon enough) – there’s plenty I can share now.
The pros
– it’s made in the US (in tx). why do i care? because they are much closer watched and quality of ingredients tends to be better compared to others on the market made in China
– this has the same ingredients as Silver Honey, which goes for almost twice as much at Petsmart/Chewy (silver: 50 ppm)
– they have clear ways to reach out and contact them if you have questions — i don’t now but in the moment of need, it’s nice to know I can reach out to someone in the US for help
and nothing bad to say- excited to have this at the ready next time my furbaby needs it!

You ever walk into Whole Foods and notice that apothecary smell (maybe the handmade soap section)? This smells exactly like that (pleasant but strong smelling)! I have a short-haired dog, and I used this ONCE on the area with sparse hair where her hind legs meet her belly (had been a bit red maybe due to turning on the heat), and it went away within a few days!

– Good packaging (outer plastic wrapper on box, foil seal on tube)

YES !!!! This is an excellent addition to my pets first aid kit. The ingredients include silver, calendula extract and glycerin. Silver fights infection, calentura extract promotes tissue regeneration, glycerin moisturizes the wound while healing.
This is a multipurpose skin solution. It is a safe and gentle formula. I used it on myself before applying it to my pet to see if I had a reaction. I did not, and therefore felt it was safe enough to apply to my pets wound.
I like this. I use colloidal silver.and appreciate the health benefits it provides. I like the calendula extract and all the other ingredients and I feel comfortable applying it to my pet for wound care. There are two safety seals with this product , the outer seal covers the box and an inner metallic cover where the ointment comes out. I highly recommend.

I have several indoor/outdoor cats and occasionally they do come in with cuts and scrapes. In the past, I’ve just put something on it like petroleum jelly to keep the wound from getting germs in there and keep it moist, but my cats tend to lick it, which is not ideal. I was hoping to find something that was specifically meant for pet wounds and so when this product came up I was excited to get it.
This product is not as thick as petroleum jelly or even a cream. It’s clear and has a very smooth feel to it, almost like an oil. It smells a little bit like Vicks VapoRub, but not as strong. I hope I don’t have to use this, but I’m sure the day is going to come and I’m glad that I have this on hand. If you have cats, especially if they’re indoor/outdoor cats, you should have something ready because you never know when they’re going to get injured and then you’re scrambling to find something to do about it. Be prepared.

I’m really impressed with this ointment. It’s been a total lifesaver. My dog had a stubborn hot spot that was red and irritated, but after applying this, the relief seemed almost immediate. She stopped scratching and bothering the area, and the redness went down significantly within just a couple of days. I love that it uses silver and calendula; it feels much safer and more natural than harsh chemicals. The consistency is thick enough to stay put, it doesn’t have a strong smell, and it’s very gentle on sensitive skin. I did wrap up the spot on her leg because I didn’t want her to be able to lick the cream in case it would make her sick. I’m not sure if that’s necessary but I do as a precaution. Definitely keeping this in our pet first aid kit!

He has a small tumor that ocassionally bother him, and so he then rubs it against fence posts, etc., and attempts to reach it with his teeth (he can’t reach, but that doesn’t stop him from trying). I was initially surprised that it was more fluid than I would expect for something in a tube. It smells very earthy and herbal, which can be a deterrent against the animal wanting their face near it. It stops my donkey from messing with the area and the rubs and scratches clear up quickly, so it’s good from a quality and calming perspective. It’s clear and runny, so ease of use has a learning curve. I lost fluid on my first try because it just flowed right out and through my fingers when I was expecting it to be more gel-like, being in a tube. It’s within the price range of comparable products, so it is a good value for the money.

I got this to help with some urine scald on a rescue cat. I’ll be honest that I didn’t use it more than twice because it just doesn’t smell great. It might be wonderful to use, but I was worried about the cat licking it and becoming sick. I don’t trust strongly scented things unless they’re candles or incense (neither of which I use because I have pets). Because I only tried this ointment twice, I cannot vouch for its ability to heal. I just know that it is extremely strong-smelling and I didn’t like that.

It’s not as viscous as I had needed. Has a menthol smell as advertised on the packaging ingredients list. I did not use on open wound. I used for an itchy hot spot behind senior dogs ear. Seemed to work fine. Didn’t make the situation worse. Came properly sealed/in tact.
Word of advice for those who don’t know, try to test a small sample size area on healthy skin before applying to a troublesome or irritated spot (to see if theres negative reaction first.)
