I’ve had bad luck with cat scratchers lately but this is one of the few I tried out recently from Vine that rises above the rest. It’s also a decent price for a such a huge scratcher. The bolts keep it standing up right nicely & it doesn’t have that ‘Leaning Tower of Gato’ vibe that most cheap furniture does.
The leaves at the top make that plastic bag crinkle sound that triggers most cats into a frenzy. If your cat is taking it’s aggressions out on the furniture, try spraying a little cat nip spray on one of these and see if that helps. You won’t be disappointed with the build quality. The price is pretty decent for being a good quality piece of cat furniture. That’s not always the case but it is here.

I put this cat tree on my florida sun room and it’s PERFECT. It looks like a palm tree, and the wide base makes sure my cat who jumps over it and parkours all over it, and it stays upright. She absolutely loves to climb up the middle and it’s staying pretty intact considering she has true scratching mitts. Lovely!

I’ve reviewed a similar cat tower and this guy has the same issue I’ve had with that one: these companies look for the cheapest way to ship these things. What does that mean for us? Things that used to be a solid piece are now split. This can degrade the stability of whatever the item is. In this case, this means the base is not one solid piece of wood. It’s split in half, with the solid piece of fabric holding it together. There is a hole in the center for the screw for the post. Anyway, like the other tower I reviewed, this hasn’t been an issue so far, but I want to make a note of this.
On to the tower itself: Suuuper easy to put together. Only a few pieces and some threaded bolts. I like the green fabric throughout, as it really helps the tree facade. The leaves at the top are poseable, so you can set them up however you like. Our cats don’t really mess with them, but that’s ok. I feel like they’re there more for visual reasons than for the cats.
Holy moly this post is a beast. The diameter is way larger than any other cat tree or tower we have. I was expecting the sisal to be thicker, rather than the post. But the sisal is pretty standard size. I think the cats like the larger diameter of the post, because they can hug it more than the smaller (re:normal) sized ones. I’ve seen each of our kitties use this as a scratching post! We have a young cat who also has been enjoying the springy ball toy at the base as well.
While I did not weigh the whole cat tower, I will say this thing is pretty heavy. I do not have any concern with this being tipped over by our cats (in fact our younger cat has already had some crazy zoomies with/around this and hasn’t had any issues).
For now, I’m gonna leave a 5 star review but I’ll adjust it if needed based on how long this lasts with our monsters playing with it. I will say, I think it may be worth the extra money for the wider post, now that I’ve seen how our cats can hug/scratch this one easier than the standard sized posts.

Easy installation and very sturdy. After I assembled it, Simba immediately played those balls. I am glad my cat loves it.

This is cute and easy to assemble. Probably done within 10 minutes. The most important part is the cats like it! The cat teaser does the job.

This Palm cat scratching tree is quite nice. My 5 month old kitten has taken to it right away. He enjoys scratching on it and climbing to the top and playing with the attached balls.

The perfect size to fit in any corner of the room.
My cat started playing with it after I sprinkled some of her favorite catnip on it…
The ropes are very strong around the pole… Great for Cat’s nail.

I have two 5months kittens and they both are super enjoy to play this scratching. The two hanging toy balls are a nice bonus and keep my cat entertained throughout the day. Assembly was quick and easy, taking only a few minutes. The natural sisal rope is thick and durable, much better than cheaper scratching posts we’ve tried before. Recommend!

Super easy to set up and looks really nice. All 4 of my cats like it. The base is sturdy enough so that when they run at it and scratch aggressively it doesn’t get knocked over.

I got the cat scratch post for my bunnies, as they have a habit of chewing and scratching furniture and baseboards when they shouldn’t. So I hoped this sisal will be a much better substitute for them instead to fulfill their natural instincts. The items arrived fast and in good condition, as you can see from the pictures, everything was included and clear from the manual. Set up was easy, took me about 8 mins, but could have been faster. Everything fit well together and as you can see, they included two posts for a higher scratch post, but since my bunnies are small, I only used one and am going to keep the other post as a spare. The base is moderately heavy and stable, so unless you have an absolute chubby tabby at home, this will hold steady.
It took a day or two for them to get used to it, but now that they are comfortable, they are definitely giving it a good work out. I love the extra little spring and dangling green play balls they come with as the bunnies are curious and would keep booping at it with their noses, so cute! One of my bunnies has an obsession with round Christmas tree ornaments and would try to steal the ones on the lower part of the tree whenever he could so I hope this will keep him entertained instead.
I like the leafy part at the top as it makes it more decorative instead of utilitarian. I have been hiding raisins in there and they have now learned to scratch and shake the tree to get the raisins raining down. I think it is good for their foraging skills. I think it will be great post for cats, but also bunnies!

I’ve tried a handful of scratching posts over the years, and this one has quickly become a favorite in my home. It has a great mix of stability, height, and design that works well for both my cat and my living space.
What I liked
Wide, stable base: My cat tends to leap onto her scratching posts, and this one doesn’t budge or wobble. The added non-slip pads keep it solid even on our hardwood floors.
Perfect scratching height: At 34 inches tall, it gives her the full stretch she wants.
Easy installation: It took just a few minutes to put together. No tools needed, and the instructions were simple.
Cute design: I appreciate that it doesn’t look cheap or overly “pet accessory” in a way that clashes with decor. It looks stylish in our room.
Fun toy options: My cat loves both included toys. The spring-mounted ball keeps her busy on the lower level, and the hanging ball at the top catches her attention when she walks by.
Durable materials: The sisal feels sturdy and long-lasting, and the plush fabric on the top and base is soft without shedding.
Overall
This scratching post strikes a great balance of function, durability, and style. The height is ideal, the base keeps it steady even with energetic play, and the toys add extra entertainment value. Most importantly, my cat loves it and that’s really the best indicator of quality.

Solid – cats can climb and it doesn’t tip over.
Attractive enough – leaves are actually nice looking.

I got this for my cats’ Christmas present, and they were trying to climb up it before I had even put it all together!
The instructions were simple and straightforward (I had it assembled in about 5 minutes), and it looks great and feels pretty solid once it’s up. The two little ball toys with rattles inside were also a nice bonus.
It’s taller than most freestanding scratching posts, which I loved, since I have large cats that love to stretch when they scratch. The younger one kept climbing it, and it stayed strong through all her kitten antics! It did tip over once, when she launched herself at the top of it from a nearby chair, but for anything less dramatic, it’s held up admirably.
I really liked the look of the fake leaves on the top, but unfortunately, they do seem to be pretty cheap. They’re made of a thin plastic that rustles loudly, and I doubt they’ll last very long. They still look very interesting, though, so I might replace them with better quality fake greenery after they wear out.
Overall, I’m very, very happy with this!

Our cat has literally been “attacking” this tree, since I built it yesterday!!
It is sturdy, will not tip over and super easy to build…I built it and usually the husband has to build everything!
I mean he absolutely loves it! I 100% recommend it. Delivery was quick and it was well packed. Super Happy with this purchase!

This is by far the sturdiest scratching post I’ve purchased so far. It’s tall enough for my cat who stretches all the way to the top. She likes the scratching material, which is wrapped tight and is a smaller cord. She loves playing with both of the balls, especially the top one. She’s been having such great fun. It was very easy to put together and everything needed was provided. It was a great buy! Your cats(s) will thank you.
